Leading the Pack through Innovation

Criminalistics, Inc. was established as a
company to develop and launch innovative law enforcement technology and is
the culmination of decades of knowledge and experience in law enforcement.
Our founder Robert Worsham, chief designer and CEO, originated
Criminalistics, Inc. with the goal to create and produce consistent, high
quality law enforcement equipment. Initiating his law enforcement career
with the United States Air Force, Mr. Worsham worked for the Air Police in
Korea as one of the first police K-9 handlers for the US. military.
Continuing his police career after his tour of duty with the Air Force, Mr. Worsham was sworn in as an officer for Dade County Florida Public Safety Department, now known as Miami-Dade Police Department. Working his way to the Crime Scene Section, he served as Commander of the Bomb Squad and Photographic Laboratory as well as all the field crime scene technicians for Dade County. In 1967, he designed and developed a unique Ninhydrin based latent print developer, Chem Print™. This innovative formula effectively develops latent fingerprints on porous surfaces such as paper, fabric and walls. The performance of this product was immediately hailed as a landmark accomplishment. As a result of this achievement, Mr. Worsham was awarded the first Florida Governors' Award for Law Enforcement and selected as one of the Top Ten Police Officers of the Year by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Utilizing his extensive police background, Mr. Worsham sought to fill the void for high quality law enforcement products and continue to develop much needed solutions to the unique problems that police officers face. Inspired from his previous work with canines, Mr. Worsham designed the first canine door release system, Bail Out™. Continued development of the canine line resulted in the creation of the renowned Hotdog™ temperature monitoring system and the Premier Canine System™ bringing both systems into one. Assembling a team of gifted engineers and forensic scientists, Criminalistics, Inc. began their renowned tradition of imagineering; the highly creative process of developing extraordinary ideas into practical solutions and addressing problems in an unconventional manner. The tremendous success of Criminalistics, Inc. rests on the hard work of our eminently qualified teams who transform our outstanding ideas into a functional reality. As a result Criminalistics, Inc. created the S.I.D.™ (Suspected Item Disposal) bomb disposal and transport system in 1969. Extensively tested by the US Army under the auspices of the National Bomb Data Center (Bulletin 44-72) the SID™ was the world's first commercially produced explosive transport system. With over 25 years of proven life saving service, this explosive transport system is in use with more than 95 agencies worldwide including an original unit donated to the Hazardous Devices School at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Over the years we have designed and marketed many different products including a full line of canine safety systems, latent fingerprint detection products, and vehicle search tools. We have now designed and engineered the Valet Parker™. Seeing a demand and meeting it we have moved into a new field with this innovative parking reserve unit. With a barrier arm standing just over 3 feet tall the Valet Parker™ stops parking pilfers in their tracks. Then, on your arrival, a simple push of the hand-held transmitter allows you exclusive access into your reserved parking spot. This is just the beginning of a new era of original innovative products. Criminalistics, Inc. is not your ordinary law enforcement products company and continues to design innovative products. Our extensive experience and expertise gives us special insight into the needs of law enforcement and beyond. We take tremendous pride in the designs of our products. There is a difference in quality and it is recognized throughout the law enforcement community. We choose to work only with people who share our vision of fair and scrupulous business practices, and we will not compromise the integrity of this company or the systems we produce. See why so many agencies choose Criminalistics, Inc. as their sole source of equipment, declaring... "...no substitution". |
