SID is the world's first commercially produced explosive device transport system. With over 35 years of proven life saving service, this certified explosive transport system is in use with over 100 agencies worldwide. Uniquely designed with a specialized head and replaceable inner cylinder, SID can remain in service for many years even after extreme detonations. |

Extensively tested
by the U.S. Army under the auspices of the eminently qualified National
Bomb Data Center, this unit safely controlled the detonation of up to 20 pounds
of TNT, Composition Four and High Density Primers (Technical Bulletin 44-72).
Subsequent testing also concluded that the
SID provided ample protection inside the towing vehicle. Peak shock
pressures recorded inside the truck cab did not approach the level that would cause damage
to the driver's eardrums. Designed with the highest regard to safety, SID is the most extensively tested bomb disposal unit with a well documented history of service. This compact, lightweight trailer has been safely towed at 90 mph, and can be easily towed by an average sedan and maneuvered in tight, narrow streets. It is also equipped with electric brakes on each wheel and a battery powered break away system that stops the trailer in the unlikely event it becomes separated from the towing vehicle. Farawa, an advanced remote loading and unloading system, is included for use with the SID system. Using this system, the operator controls the loading and unloading of a suspect item by coded radio up to 500 feet away or by hard wired cable up to 100 feet away. Once the item is secured, Farawa moves the device to the blast chamber. The system is preprogrammed to stop directly over the center of the chamber, preventing over travel and eliminating guess work. Farawa is also available separately for use with existing systems. IED Technician Training on the operation and maintenance of SID is provided at our facilities for your designated representative |
